broke

For years now, we’ve been trying to discover a cure for poverty but it is a never ending progression due to unemployment, low wages, lack of education, unprepared parenthood, racial discrimination, divorce, being a single parent, chronic illness or disability and tons of other reasons. I perceive poverty and I see some of us have it all and some have nothing. I realize that it’s unfair but that’s how the world goes round. Views of people looking for cures for poverty, here is something to think about….
Who is Jim carry or Britney spears? He’s funny and she can sing and they make millions of dollars for repute in front of the camera. Oprah Winfrey allegedly takes home the paltry annual salary of $145 million dollars. That’s almost $580,000 a day (I used a calculator) - more than most of us could ever hope to make over the course of our working lives! Celebrities are paid far too much money for acting. All the people famished in the world are dying with no money and they are paid as much as a hard working sellers year salary in a day. I know that will most likely never change. People who do simple tasks like singing and performing will always make more money because they have a reputation and they are paid for that status. I believe that doctors, engineers and so forth, deserve their money and respect because they work hard and they aren’t being paid to show their faces in places to be paid per second.
As for people who obtain movie stars and athletes as their role models, please do some research and think about your beliefs and values. Decide what you consider a respectable person. If you think going to jail, doing drugs, affairs etc is cool then you’re at the right place. I don’t honestly believe that celebrities do charities because they feel like going out to people, but rather because it makes them more popular. Ofcourse I can’t be sure of what their intention is, except that there is no reason to make such a big deal of giving out a charity. It makes me irritated that we look up to people who can do anything possible because of the money and support they have. I understand that they have to live a hard life too, and they have to be away from home and to live a life in public eye and I’m sure it’s not an easy career either, but that is their personal choice.
I realize that the reason for poverty isn’t this particularly, but it upsets me to know that people like that have it all and are living a life worth million of dollars and on the other side a man works all day building a house and is living in a mud hole wondering if he’ll be able to bring bread home tomorrow.

I agree. why is all this money being wasted on entertainment when there are bigger things to worry about. even if they don't pay actors so much for acting we'll still have entertainment because theyl have no choice but to still do their work and not get paid insanely.

  2. i doubt they would refuse work since that is what their career is. no one really thinks about it which is why it's never an issue
